New Students
When to arrive?
Arriving around 10-15 minutes before class allows you enough time to check in, hang your things, set out your mat and props, make a tea and use the bathroom without being in a rush.
What to wear?
Wear anything you can move in! Flowy or fitted, wear what feels comfortable! No perfume please!
What do I do while I’m waiting for class to start?
Once your mat is set, make yourself a tea and settle onto your mat. Feel free to stretch, meditate or just enjoy the silence. Nothing is expected of you.
What class is good for me?
Gentle yoga can be a good start for those new to yoga. It’s slower moving, with a strong focus on the breath guiding your movement. Hatha, restorative and yin are also good options!
Where do I go when I arrive?
When you arrive, go in through the main doors of the building, up the stairs and the studio is at the end of the hall. You’ll see the sign! Pop into the reception area to check in and we will walk you around the studio to help you get familiar with the space!
What to bring?
Bring your own yoga mat or borrow one of ours for free. We have blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps, so feel free to leave yours at home if you’d like. Bring water!
